E-learning has transformed the education sector and provided flexibility in access, scalability in instruction and accessibility around the world. However, it will decrease practical learning, decrease social interaction, and make it more difficult to have attention. I believe that e-learning is excessively positive but it is most effective when combined with face-to-face experiences to sustain engagement, community and practical skills.
There is also an interdisciplinary stance in this stance: technology can offer the means, however, the success of these means is defined by psychology and pedagogy. The digital solutions address certain issues but create new ones that need to be implemented with care.
